As early as 1864, polka dots emerged and took flight. In the 30s, the polka dot print really began infiltrating fashion outright. Even Minnie Mouse, who made her first screen appearance in 1928, adopted the pattern. Throughout the 50's and 60's, polka dots gained momentum and earned a right in formal fashion with Audrey Hepburn outfits, and clothing designers' patterns on the runways. Then, there was Julia Roberts in her chic ensemble at the polo match in Pretty Woman. Princess Dianna wore them presenting her first born and most recently, Duchess Kate replicated the same presenting Prince George.
The Spring Buck is intrinsic sensual and playful and embraces the polka dot as punctuation for their time in the limelight.
